The airport of Dali locates the boundary of the Fengyi Town and the Haidong Country, which is 12 kilometers far away from the downtown of Dali. Currently, there are 2 services to Kunming and Xishuangbanna in the airport of Dali.
Railway
You need take about 8 hours to go directly to Dali from Kunming by train. There are 1 every morning and 3 every night. There is No.8 bus to Guicheng in Dali from The Xiaguan train station of Dali.
There are also the trains from Dali to Kunming 1 every morning and 3 every night. You can buy the tickets in the hall of the 35108 Troops Guest House in the Jianse Road which is near the Guanping Street. The time of selling tickets is 9:30-17:30.
You can buy the tickets to other places inside the province in No.21 of Jianse Road. The time of selling tickets is 9:00-18:00.
Road
The total passenger transportation station: It is the biggest bus station and locates at No.21 of Jianse Road and is opposite of Minsheng Shopping Square. The most of Gaokuai buses all set out here, there is an independent waiting room of Gaokuai buses in the station.
The Xiaguan passenger transportation north station: There are regular buses to some places such as Lijiang River, Zhongdian and so on. There is a bus to Lijiang River every half an hour, the last one is 6:30 P.M., the price of ticket is 38 Yuan, you can arrive in half and 3 hours.
Kunming--Dali: It is more than 300 kilometers far from Dali to Kunming. There is the superhighway between two sides. There are the long distance buses to Dali in each big bus station of Kunming every day. There are many regular buses to Dali in Nanyao bus station which is near the train station of Kunming, the earliest one is 8:00 A.M.
Lijiang--Dali: There are four Gaokuai buses which is from Dali to lijiang every day, the time of delivering buses are 8:30,9:30,14:00,19:00, you need spend half and 3 hours and 50 Yuan.
The total passenger transportation station of Dali is at No.21 of Jianse Road. You need spend 3 hours and 50 Yuan.
Dali-- Lijiang: The last one is 19£º00, the last luxurious big buses which pass the Gucheng of Dali is 19£º20, the price of ticket is 50 Yuan.
Dali--Zhongdian: There are buses to Zhongdian in the passenger transportation station of Dali which locates at the corner of the Huguo Road. It is 300 kilometers from Dali to Zhongdian. The Gaokuai buses to Zhongdian start at 9:00a.m., you can arrive at about 17:00 P.M., you need spend 8 or 9 hours and 85 Yuan. You need spend 6 hours to arrive at the Tiaohuxia which is Qiaotou Town and pass a section of two-class highway and a section of three-class highway. You need spend more than 2 hours from Qiaotou to Zhongdian, pass a section of round mountain highway and a section of two-class highway.
Dali--Baoshan: There are buses to some places such as Baoshang, Tengchong, Ruili, Jinghong etc. in the station of Xiaguan. In addition, there are buses to Liuku every 7:30 and 11:30.

Bicycle
If you want to go around the Gucheng of Dali, renting a bicycle is a quite good choice. There are bicycles to be rented by the side of the Hongshancha Guest House in Boai Road in Gucheng of Dali, the rental is 10 Yuan to 12 Yuan every day, and it demands security deposit.
Pleasure-boat
If you want to enjoy a trip to Ee Lake, the more ideal way is to go to the Wharf of Eel Lake which is in the north of Xiaguan and embark the pleasure-boat. The pleasure-boat usually set out at 8:30a.m. every day, the reference expenses is 70 Yuan to 80 Yuan, suggest that you buy the ticket a day earlier.
